Yoga for Treatment of DiseasesAsthma & Lungs DiseasesIt is common belief that asthma is a lifelong disease. A strict vigilance of diet is very necessary for an asthmas patient to lead normal life. One or two chapattis having brawn and leafy vegetable, boiled vegetables and salad should form the meal. Take lime warm water with honey, soaked raisins or i Tea of cardamom, ginger & pepper or tulsi leaves and i may also replace tea etc. Among asanas perform Suptavajrasana, Ushtrasana, Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Makarasana, Jalneti, Sutraneti & Kunjal should be done every day. Kapalbhati & Bhastrika are recommond Pranayamas. Liver DiseasesFood should be without any fat and have vegetable & fruit juices, with honey & lime juice with honey will also be helpful. Kamarchakrasana, Paschimottanasana, Ardhamatsy endrasana, Yogmudra & Halasana among yogic postures, kunjal as clearing process and Sheetli as well as Uddiyanabandh as breathing exercise will be helpful. Perform Yogmudra 8-10 times daily. Rheumatic Diseases or GoutFood for patients is similar to that given for asthmatic patients. Yogmudra, Vajrasana, Suptavajrasana, Uttaripad-asana, Bhujangasana, Makarasana, Pawanamuktasana, Sarvangasana & Matsyasana should be performed up to individual capacity Bhastrika Prartayama. Sunbath and massage followed by warm water bath will be very useful. Ear, Nose & ThroatLime and honey in warm water. Tea made of ginger, green cardamom & pepper and light food is suggested. Ushtrasana, Bhujangasana, Halasana, Sarvangăsana, Mats yasana, Jalneti, Sutraneti and Kunjal followed by Bhastrika, Bhramari & Ujjai Pranayama will give good results. HeadacheTo clean the internal passages perform Kunjal and fast by consuming small quantities of fruits & milk. Paschimottanasana, Tadasana, Bhujangasana, Halasana, Sarvangasana, Shavasana, Kapalbhati & Nadishodhan Pranayama will be helpful. |
