Spinal Cord

Before Digestive System or spinal cord is mentioned. Activation of these two centers is mentioned in scriptures. It is also believed that ‘CHAKRAS’ or nerve-centers are also located along the spinal cord. By activating these CHAKRAS a man can be in state of relaxed, disease free and peaceful existence. Spinal cord begins from below the skull along the spine and goes up to last but one vertebra. Its shape is like a twisted rope. On either side of the cord there are 31 pairs of nerve-groups. They are linked directly with nasal nerves called moon and sun.

Body is controlled by mind with the help of spinal cord and nervous system starting along the length of this cord. The nervous system works like network of communication line to transmit information and pass instructions to and from mind in reflex action. The formation of our body is complete with in- built systems of self-curing and cleaning. Medicines have no role in these functions. All the systems can be made to function efficiently resulting in good health by regularly following yogic system of postures & cleaning process.

Postures or Asanas improve flexibility of the spine, Improve functioning of nerves and complete body starts becoming balanced and free of ailments, Pranayama and meditation affect the CHAKRAS. All the five Senses- Hearing, Touch, Taste, Sight and Smell-improve, mind is controlled and efficiency in workplace improves. Self confidence improves and one can face difficulties to solve the problems in daily life.
